1. How can I order?

2. How can I pay? 
WE DO TAKE INTERNATIONAL ORDERS and payment is taken in UK pound sterling £.

We accept payment by credit card on our site, personal cheque, money orders, wire transfers and PayPal. 

If you wish to pay by credit card, you will need to enter your card number, expiry date, security code (usually on the signature strip), the name on the card and billing address - if different from your shipping address at the checkout.

3. Does the price include shipping? 
Yes. There are no hidden costs, when you buy an item from us the shipping is included in the price you see.

 
4. How long does shipping/delivery take? 
If the item is being delivered within the UK, delivery normally takes 24 hours if an order is placed from Monday to Thursday.

If the item is going to Europe, delivery normally takes a week. Items are sent with registered insured post. High value/ heavier weight silver is sent with UPS express and this takes up to 48 hours

For the rest of the world, shipping normally takes between 5 to 10 days. High value/ heavier weight silver are sent with UPS express and this takes up to 48 hours.

 
5. What happens if I do not like my purchase? 
This is not a problem. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery and inform us that you are returning the item and when we receive it, we will then issue you a full refund. Occasionally when a customer has asked for UPS express shipping at an additional cost, only the price of the item will be refunded.

 
6. Is the silver guaranteed? 
Any silver you buy from Atlam is guaranteed as solid silver and not silver plate. All of our items are also cleaned and restored and while most of our stock is in mint condition we strive to describe any stock that has minor faults accurately, so that you’re always pleasantly surprised with the condition of your item. However, in the eventuality that you’re not 100% satisfied we do offer a full money back guarantee as detailed above.

 
7. What piece of silver should I choose? 
If this is your first silver purchase and you may find the choice we offer bewildering, however we are always available to help you. We will give you advice on buying a piece of silver suitable for every day use, gifts for anniversaries, weddings and/or christenings. A special item for the discerning collector or that would make up part of an investment portfolio.

We hope that you will find something perfect for you in our very large collection, however if we don’t have something in immediately that is exactly what you want we are happy to try and locate one for you. Our stock is also constantly changing; growing and being updated so please keep checking this site for the latest fantastic pieces.

 
10. How do you grade the silver? 
All of our silver is solid silver, we don’t sell any silver plate and most of our pieces are in mint or near condition. We do however strive to describe all of our pieces accurately and in as much detail as possible. If anything we are overly critical of our items to ensure that what you receive exceeds your expectations.

If we describe an item as ‘mint’ then it really is in perfect condition, although a ‘mint’ piece from the 1700s will be different to what is considered a mint example of a 1930s piece.

Pieces that aren’t mint will be described as ‘95% mint’ or ‘90% mint’ etc. We will then also give details of the minor faults in the description of the item so that you know exactly what you will be receiving.  

 
11. Can I see more images of the piece(s) of silver I’m interested in and can I request more information? 
Certainly, this is not a problem. Please contact us with details of the silver item in question and we will send you more information, if it is still available. However please note that customers who want details of multiple pieces may have to wait for a short amount of time to get all the answers they require as it will take some time to research and take additional pictures of the items.

 
12. I have sent an e-mail to you with details of a piece of silver I want to be valued. Why have I not heard from you? 
There may be a couple of reasons for this. We receive on average over 100 e-mails a day and valuations are put on one side until we have time to research the maker and details for you. Also if you have sent us pictures in a non recognized format or if your e-mail was infected, our firewall may have stopped your e-mail coming through and deleted it. Try contacting us again, this time without the pictures.
